Lishala C. Situmbeko is seasoned a Banker and Economist with over 25 years’ experience as a renowned business leader in the private and public financial sectors. His achievements include but not limited to successes in business transformation, strategy setting and execution.
Before joining Access Bank Zambia, Mr. Situmbeko served at Zanaco for 10 years in various management roles, the most recent being Chief Commercial Officer during which he spearheaded the bank’s key business in Retail Banking, Treasury, Corporate and Investment Banking, Business Banking, Transactional Banking, and other support functions.
Mr. Situmbeko also served on the Board of Zanaco Sporting Club Limited in a non-executive capacity. Prior to his engagement at Zanaco, he held senior treasury roles at Barclays Bank (Z) Plc. He was also Senior Economist at the Ministry of Finance and an Economic and Financial Markets Specialist at Bank of Zambia.
Mr. Situmbeko has a Bachelor‘s Degree in Economics from the University of Zambia, Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Nairobi and completed the Programme for Executive Development from the IMD Business School in Lausanne, Switzerland. In addition, he is a 2004 – 2005 Hubert H. Humphrey Fellow in Banking and Finance from Boston University, USA.
Lishala has numerous accreditations and certifications in business and development, including being an executive coach, speaker, mentor, and trainer under the John Maxwell Team.
