Emeruwa Obiora Owu joined Access Bank Zambia in September 2023. He has over 20 years' experience in the banking industry. He previously worked for United Bank for Africa Plc and Diamond Bank Plc before joining Access Bank.
Within Access Bank, Mr. Owu worked as Sub-Zonal Head Retail Operations, Zonal Head Retail Operations and Unit Head Retail Operations. His previous posting before taking up the role Country Operating Officer for Zambia was that of Country Operating Officer for the Democratic Republic of Congo.
His holds a Bachelor of Science in Banking and Finance from the University of Nigeria Nsukka and a master's Degree in business administration (management) from the same University. He is a Chartered Banker (certified in Nigeria) and an Aresty Scholar of Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania, USA.
