Njavwa Mulwanda was appointed as a member of the Access Bank Zambia Board of Directors in August 2021 after serving as a Board Member on the Cavmont Bank Board of Directors for three (3) years. He brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from the financial services sector, locally and on the international front, with over 17 years of Corporate Finance experience.
He holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a dual degree in Finance and Economics from Northwest Missouri State University, where he was Varsity Tennis Captain and graduated Magna Cum Laude.
Director Njavwa began his career at Sprint - an American Telecommunications company in Internal Audit and Financial Planning and Analysis. He served as Senior Vice President in the Wells Fargo Securities’ Mergers and Acquisitions team in New York, prior to which, he spent three years in London, where he played an integral part in building the Wells Fargo’s international team for Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
Mr. Mulwanda also spent four years as a Senior Financial Analyst at Cartesian in Washington D.C. and Kansas City and assisted African, U.S., and European corporate clients on debt and equity capital, raising over $7.5 Billion during his eight-years as an Investment Banker.
