Zesco3.pngAccess Bank Zambia has renewed its partnership with Zesco United Football Club with a sponsorship of K2,950,000.00 (Two Million Nine Hundred and Fifty Thousand Kwacha Only) for the 2025 - 2026 football season.

The sponsorship over recent years - from K2.5 million in the 2023-2024 season to K2.8 million in the 2024-2025 season, and now K2.95 million for the 2025-2026 season - demonstrates the continued confidence in the Zesco United brand. It also reflects the Bank’s belief in the positive role football plays in bringing communities together and inspiring youth throughout Zambia.

Speaking during the event, Access Bank Zambia Deputy Managing Director Bobbline Cheembela said the Bank’s support for Zesco United goes beyond football, reflecting shared values of excellence, determination, and ambition.

“The Club has represented Zambia with pride, winning the Carling Black Label Charity Shield and qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup group stage. This year, Zesco United enters a highly competitive group, facing Zamalek and Al Masry of Egypt, as well as Kaizer Chiefs of South Africa. These are some of Africa’s most formidable sides and competing against them offers an opportunity not only for the team to demonstrate their quality on the continental stage, but also for Zambia to earn more slots in CAF competitions. Strong performances at this level contribute to improving the country’s coefficient ranking, ultimately allowing more Zambian clubs to participate in future continental tournaments,” Mr. Cheembela said.

With nine Zambian league titles and seven ABSA Cup victories, Zesco United’s legacy in Zambian football is unmatched. These accolades represent not just success on the field, but a culture of consistency, focus, and teamwork; values that Access Bank equally uphold.

Speaking on behalf of Zesco United, Club Chairperson Patricia Musiya said the sponsorship is an encouragement for the team to work even harder.

Ms. Musiya thanked Access Bank for the continued partnership and support over the years.
