Mr. Lewis Kanda is a Chartered Accountant with over 18 years’ experience covering both local and international exposure. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) respectively.
Before his current role, he worked as Acting Chief Financial Officer under Atlas Mara. Prior to that, Mr. Kanda worked as Group CFO for Focus Group, overseeing the Group’s subsidiaries covering insurance, investment banking and micro finance sectors within Zambia, with a focus on SMEs.
Mr. Kanda also worked for Barclays Bank Zambia for over 9 years. While there, he held various roles including that of Vice President Finance. He was also seconded to Barclays Bank Ghana as Financial Controller and Barclays Bank Africa Regional Office in Dubai as Finance Business Partner. He previously worked for Deloitte as an Auditor.
