Elijah Kangwa is a seasoned banker with extensive practical expertise in Corporate Banking and Agricultural Finance. He brings a mindful and balanced approach to team leadership, excelling in training, mentoring, and coaching subordinates to realise their full potential.
Prior to joining Access Bank, Mr. Kangwa served as Senior Relationship Manager looking after Global Corporates at Zanaco, where he oversaw key banking relationships with multinational corporates. He also served as Senior Relationship Manager in the Agricultural Corporate and Emergent and Smallholder portfolios.
His banking experience spans customer acquisition, credit origination and underwriting, relationship management as well as strategy development and implementation. Elijah began his career in the development sector, with his last post being at United Nations World Food Programme before pivoting into banking.
Mr Kangwa holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences Degree with a major in Agricultural Economics. He is and is a member of the International Association of Agricultural Economists. He has undertaken several industry certifications, including Moody’s Commercial Credit Certification and the IFC Global Trade Finance Training Programme.
