An intellectually astute C-Level Executive with extensive experience in overseeing the entire risk and compliance function boasting the aptitude to develop and implement robust strategic plans within the organization’s overall risk management framework.
Hamish is highly proficient in providing strategic leadership and expert advice to key stakeholders with regards to the functioning of risk management policies, as well as frequently conducting risk assessments to identify potential risks and proactively implement risk mitigation plans.
He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a Fellow of Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) and Past President of the Institute of Internal Auditors – Zambia Chapter. He also has a certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA).
Prior to his appointment as Chief Risk Officer at Access Bank Zambia Limited, Hamish served as a Chief Risk and Compliance officer and Director Internal Audit at ZANACO. He further held various positions including Assistant Director: Financial Management & Information System (Finance Department) at Bank of Zambia.
Hamish is a transformational leader with the aptitude to construct optimized solutions for the effective resolutions of risk-related issues inclusive of but not limited to credit, operational, business continuity and internal control.
