XtraWins Terms and Conditions


These General Terms and Conditions shall be applied fully and affect your participation in any competition or platform run by Access Bank (Zambia) Limited. By participating in any competition or platform, run by Access Bank (Zambia) Limited you agree to accept all terms and conditions herein. You must not take part in any competition with Access Bank (Zambia) Limited if you disagree with any of these General Competition Terms and Conditions.

1. Promoter
The Promoter is Access Bank (Zambia) Limited with registration number - ABZ_RC_69264 which has its Head Office situated at Plot 682, Cairo Road – North-end, P O Box 35273, Lusaka, Zambia ("the Promoter").

2. Who may enter?
Entry is open to Zambian citizens, residents and valid permit holders aged 18 years and above. Employees of the Promoter or the immediate family of such employees or anyone else connected in any way with the competition or helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to enter the competition. "Immediate family" means spouse, parent, child or sibling, whether or not they live in the same household as the employee.

3. Conditions of entry
By entering the competition, participants agree to be bound by these General Terms and Conditions and any Special Terms and Conditions appearing on the Promoter’s website specific to the particular competition and all branding competition materials.

4. Limitations of entry
Participants may only enter the competition based on the set-out rules, unless the Special Terms and Conditions specify otherwise.

5. Categories and Winners

Unlock & Win
This is specifically for customers that haven’t transacted Digitally (USSD & Mobile App), or customers that haven’t transacted within a period of 180 days and above. The rule is for them to perform 5 transactions and be qualified to win ZMW 150.00 on a monthly basis and this is for 100 winners to be selected.

Re-Activate & Win (Funding Campaign)
This is for customers who have been in-active (90 days and above) and have no funds (less than ZMW 200) in their account. The criteria are for them to fund their account with ZMW250, and they stand a chance ZMW150 each monthly; 100 winners would be selected for this category. The notification of payment made to the customer would display “Winner XtraWins Re-activate and Win”.

This is for customers with minimum of ZMW150.00 account balance and performs a minimum of 3 weekly transactions. Winners are selected to win cash prize of ZMW150.00 and 25winners are selected weekly.

Eligibility for draws
Participants will only be eligible for draws once they have met the following criteria:
  • Must have operated an Access Bank Account
  • Must be signed on a minimum of one alternative digital channel i.e. USSD, Whatsapp, Mobile Banking or Internet Banking.
  • Participants will only be allowed to win once in the draw.
  • Meeting all the Terms and Conditions of the product promotion.

6. Prizes
All prizes must be taken as offered and are not exchangeable, transferable, and redeemable for cash or for resale. In the event that a prize is unavailable, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
Prize collection method will be communicated to the winners via text messages and emails

7. Notification of winners
Winners will be notified via email, phone calls and names published in print media. Winners may be used by the Promoter for publicity and on social media to validate the XtraWins platform.

8. Entries
All entries become the property of the Promoter. Entries not completed in accordance with the conditions of entry or deposited less than 30 days before the draw date will not qualify the participant an entry into the platform

9. Privacy
The details contained in your entry are protected by security safeguards as detailed in the Promoter's Privacy Policy. The personal information collected as part of the entry is collected to enable identification of the winner and for future marketing and promotional purposes. Your personal information will only be disclosed to the Promoter for these purposes.

You can contact the Promoter’s Conduct and Compliance Department if you would like details of the personal information that the Promoter may hold about you or if you would like it to be corrected. 10. Information communication technology

If for any reason a competition does not run for its duration due to a computer virus, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other cause beyond the control of the Promoter that corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition or disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process.

11. Limitation of liability
The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of any goods or services offered as prizes. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss suffered to person or property by reason of any act or omission, deliberate or negligent, by the Promoter or its employees or agents, in connection with the arrangement for the supply, or the supply, of goods and services by any person to the prize winner and, where applicable, to any persons accompanying the prize winner. This clause does not affect any rights a consumer may have which are unable to be excluded under the Zambian law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, any liability of the Promoter or its employees or agents for breach of any such rights is limited to the payment of the costs of having the prize supplied again. 

The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.

The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.
The Promoter’s decision with respect to all matters to do with the competition shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

12. Amendment
The Promoter reserves the right to amend or vary these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any changes to the competition shall be notified to the participants as soon as possible, by the Promoter.

13. Governing law
The competition and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of Zambia and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Zambia.
