Ms. Kalumbu Nyikosa-Kearns is a seasoned professional in strategic sales, communications, and marketing, with over 18 years of combined experience in bank operations and relationship management. With her experience and innovative approaches, she has played a pivotal role in shaping and transforming brands within the financial sector. In February 2023, she joined Access Bank Zambia, where she spearheads initiatives aimed at enhancing brand visibility and driving growth. Most notably, she led the transformation of the Access Bank brand after the Atlas Mara acquisition. Prior, Ms. Kearns served as a Senior Marketing Specialist at Zanaco, where she successfully increased brand visibility and supported initiatives that enhanced the bank’s business performance. As Products and Sales Manager at Atlas Mara Bank, she integrated the product offerings after the merger between Finance Bank Zambia (FBZ) and BancABC, having initially joined FBZ as Retail Manager.
Ms. Kearns led the brand transition from Pulse Financial Services Limited to Entrepreneurs Financial Centre (EFC), where she initially established the Business Development Unit and served as business Development Manager before assuming the function of Marketing and Communications Manager. Before this, she served as a Relationship Manager and Team Lead under Access Bank’s Consumer and Commercial Banking Group. She began her banking career at Indo Zambia Bank as a Bank Operations Clerk and held roles at The Post Newspapers (in liquidation) as an Account Officer and later, Head of Classified Smalls then known as ‘Sangwapo.’
Academically, she holds an MBA in Strategic Management and a bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from the University of Zambia, complemented by Postgraduate Diplomas in Business Administration (Finance) and Marketing from the Copperbelt University and the Zambian Institute of Marketing, respectively. Outside of work, she is a Paul Harris Fellow under Rotary International, and served as the first female president of the Rotary Club of Chilanga (2022-2023). Ms. Kearns is an avid traveler and keen promoter of local tourism.
