Ms. Kalumbu Nyikosa-Kearns, recipient of the 2024 Augustine Seyuba Marketing Personality of the Year Award and the 2025 Positive Role Model Award (Southern Africa), at the 13th Gender Mainstreaming Awards in Johannesburg, is a strategic sales, communications, and marketing professional with over 18 years’ experience in financial institutions across multiple functions. Since joining Access Bank Zambia in February 2023 as Head Corporate Communications, she has led brand growth and visibility initiatives, particularly following the Atlas Mara acquisition. In February 2026, she advanced to the role of Head of Marketing as part of a strategic realignment aimed at enhancing support for key business objectives. Previously, Ms. Kearns enhanced Zanaco’s brand as a Senior Marketing Specialist and integrated product offerings at Atlas Mara Bank following its acquisition of BancABC and Finance Bank Zambia (FBZ), where she held the position of Retail Manager.
She spearheaded the rebranding of Pulse Financial Services Limited (PFSL) to Entrepreneurs Financial Centre (EFC), where she established the Business Development Unit and served as Business Development Manager and later, Marketing and Communications Manager. Prior to this, she worked at Access Bank as a Relationship Manager and Team Lead under the Consumer and Commercial Banking unit. She started her banking career at Indo Zambia Bank as Operations Clerk, and prior to that, held roles at The Post Newspapers as Account Officer and Head of Classified Smalls.
She holds an MBA in Strategic Management and a Bachelor's Degree in Development Studies from the University of Zambia, as well as postgraduate diplomas in Finance from the Copperbelt University and Marketing from the Zambia Institute of Marketing. In addition to being certified in Diplomatic Studies, she is a Paul Harris Fellow and notably served as the first female president of the Rotary Club of Chilanga for the 2022–2023 term. She is also known for her enthusiasm for travel and active promotion of local tourism.
