Ms. Kalumbu Nyikosa-Kearns, the 2024 Augustine Seyuba Marketing Personality of the Year, is an experienced professional in strategic sales, communications, and marketing, with over 18 years of experience in banking operations and relationship management. She joined Access Bank Zambia in February 2023, where she currently leads brand visibility and growth initiatives, notably transforming the brand after the Atlas Mara acquisition. Previously, she enhanced Zanaco’s brand as a Senior Marketing Specialist and integrated product offerings at Atlas Mara Bank following its merger with Finance Bank Zambia and BancABC, having served as Retail Manager at FBZ.
Ms. Kearns spearheaded the rebranding of Pulse Financial Services Limited (PFSL) to Entrepreneurs Financial Centre (EFC), where she established the Business Development Unit and served as both Business Development Manager and Marketing and Communications Manager. Previously, she worked at Access Bank as Relationship Manager and Team Lead, started her banking career at Indo Zambia Bank as Operations Clerk, and prior to that, held roles at The Post Newspapers as Account Officer and Head of Classified Smalls.
She holds an MBA in Strategic Management and a Bachelor’s in Development Studies from the University of Zambia, plus Postgraduate Diplomas in Business Administration (Finance) and Marketing. She is a Paul Harris Fellow with Rotary International and served as the first female president of the Rotary Club of Chilanga (2022–2023). She is also known for her enthusiasm for travel and active promotion of local tourism.
